Gorgeous turn of the friction press

In the scenic south lies a decades-old forging factory. In the factory, rows of old friction presses are still roaring, as if they were telling their own history and glory with their unique voice. But time waits for no one, the wheel of technology rolls forward, and these old machines have gradually exposed their fatigue: low efficiency, high energy consumption, difficult maintenance... All this has become a problem restricting the development of forging plants.

However, the financial pressure to update the entire line of equipment is huge, and the new equipment takes time to get started, which is undoubtedly a huge challenge for forgings factories with large order pressure and heavy production tasks.

At the renovation site, workers are busy shuttling between the machines. In the mechanical part, they retained the frame and screw nut part of the original friction press, cleverly removed the horizontal shaft assembly, flat wheel, arm part and double friction disc, and installed a large pulley. This pulley will be driven by the servo motor flywheel movement, and equipped with lubrication and flywheel brake parts to ensure the stable operation of the machine.

The electrical part has also been greatly improved. The original motor and electric cabinet were replaced by servo motor and electrical control cabinet, and a centralized button station was set up. In this way, the brick press has changed from the original manual operation mode to digital intelligent control, which not only makes the operation more convenient, but also greatly improves the accuracy. After three days of intense construction, the first friction press was successfully transformed into a servo electric screw press. Mr. Zhang excitedly pressed the start button, and the machine turned lightly, its sound becoming so pleasing that it seemed to be singing a new age anthem.

Soon, a number of friction presses were completed. In order not to affect the production task, the forging factory has adopted the mode of alternating implementation and handover to ensure that the transformation and production are not wrong. After the renovation, the forging plant looks completely new. Production efficiency is increased, energy consumption is reduced, and operation is easier and safer. Workers are excited to say that the work has become much easier and the pay has increased significantly.
